Joseph P. Boisseau

WESTFIELD – Joseph P. Boisseau, 66 (1955-2022), passed away on November 9, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center after battling ALS. He was born December 20th,1955 in Westfield, Massachusetts to Pauline (Richardson) and the late Harold Boisseau. He was a graduate of Westfield Vocational School where he learned the trade of Carpentry.

Joe was employed by the Springfield Water Department until he retired, early summer 2022. He previously worked for the Town of Blandford and various others throughout his career. He operated heavy equipment, farmed & built many things, from basic shelving to full homes, barns, and garages. Joe began Hidden Barn Farm with his three children and then purchased Dream Meadow Farm many years later, where he raised beef, pigs and dairy cows. Dream Meadow was a fully functioning milk farm for several years where he cared for Jersey, Holstein and Brown Swiss cattle. Joe loved spending time with his wife, children & grandchildren. When he was not at the farm, he was with his tightknit family.

Sadly, Joe was predeceased by his father Harold “Pep” Boisseau and a brother Harold “Harry” Boisseau. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Darlene A. (Pike) Boisseau of Westfield, his three loving children, Pamela J. Boisseau of Westfield, Joseph W. Boisseau and his wife Stacy of Russell and Justin P. Boisseau and his wife Tia of Westfield, his devoted mother, Pauline “Granny” Boisseau, and his three siblings and his six cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter, Chase, Hannah, Maggie and Cole-Bob. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 5-7 PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Saturday at 11AM in Middle Farms Cemetery, Russellville Rd. Westfield, MA. For those who wish, we will be lining up at 10:15 at Firtion Adams, for a short final ride thru Dream Meadow Farm then on to the cemetery. www.firtionadams.com
