12:29 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Half Mile Falls Park, a dispatcher reports that persons were seen in the park via security monitors, the responding officer reports the parties found in the park had been advised of the permissible hours for park usage the day before, city ordinance violation citations were issued;
4:03 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Half Mile Falls Park, a dispatcher reports that persons were seen in the park via security monitors, the responding officer reports two person were advised of the permissible hours of use and sent on their ways;
4:20 a.m.: larceny, Summit Lock Road a caller reports extension cords valued at about $100 were stolen overnight, the responding officer reports the caller said that between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. nine 220 volt extension cords were stolen, the caller said that a similar theft occurred in April, 2010;
5:20 a.m.: breaking and entering, Stephanie Lane, a caller reports his vehicle was entered and property was stolen, the responding office reports the caller said that about 5 a.m. he discovered that three vehicles in his driveway had been entered and the contents had been disturbed, the man said that a checkbook was stolen from one of the vehicles;
9:23 a.m.: trespassing, Whitney Playground, Shepard Street, a patrol officer reports he encountered a known person who has pitched a tent in the middle of the field, the officer reports the man was sent on his way;
10:21 a.m.: animal complaint, Steiger Drive, a caller reports taking custody of a husky dog, the responding animal control officer reports the gray and black husky dog was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
11:58 a.m.: animal complaint, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports a dog has been inside a vehicle parked at a Springfield Road department store for at least ten minutes, the temperature was recorded at 85 degrees, the animal control officer responded and the officer reports a citation was issued;
12:57 p.m.: incapacitated person, Main Street, a caller reports an intoxicated person on Main Street, the responding office reports he found a known person hanging on to a utility pole and was advised by bystanders that the man had fallen repeatedly, the man was found to have scrapes and scratches consistent with falls but said that he did not need medical assistance and was just drunk, the man said that he was homeless and there was nobody who would care fore him, the man was placed in protective custody;
1:26 p.m.: larceny, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports her computer was stolen on a bus, the responding officer reports that the woman said her computer was stolen while on a transport bus but she could not identify the make of the computer or the monitor size, the woman said she had discarded all the paperwork for the computer, the officer spoke with the transport bus drivers who transported her to and from her destination and both said that she had not been carrying a computer as did one other passenger;
2:13 p.m.: arrest, Fairfield Avenue, police were advised of the possible location of the subject of an outstanding warrant and officers were dispatched, the responding officers report that the suspect was found at the suggested address, William R. Pease, 28, of 14 Olin St., Chester, was arrested on the warrant without incident;
2:40 p.m.: breaking and entering, White Street, a caller reports her home was entered and the contents were disturbed, the responding officer reports the caller said that she had been home waiting for a friend when she heard somebody downstairs, the woman said that she assumed the person downstairs was her friend but when she did not come upstairs the caller investigated and found drawers, cabinets and doors open, the woman said she believes someone entered her residence but fled when he or she realized that somebody was at home, the woman said that nothing appears to have been stolen;
2:45 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Sunset Drive, a code enforcement officer reports he returned to a Sunset Drive address for a follow up inspection and found two inoperable motor vehicles, a detachable top for a vehicle and two unregistered scooters, a code violation citation was issued;
3:08 p.m.: parking violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle parked in a handicap space without the required plate or placard, a citation was issued;
3:58 p.m.: larceny, Big Y, 1 E. Silver St., a caller requests an officer to assist with a juvenile shoplifter in custody, the responding officer reports that the store officials issued “no trespassing” orders to the suspect and her companion, parents of both girls were notified and family members came to take custody of them;
4:59 p.m.: larceny, Devon Terrace, a resident came to the station to report a larceny, the responding officer reports the victim said that several thousand dollars was stolen from her home, the officer reports the woman said that the money was last seen on July 2 and said that she suspects tradesmen who were in the house may be responsible, the case was referred to the detective bureau;
7:40 p.m.: larceny, Meadow Street, a patrol officer reports he is investigating a larceny of a camera, the officer reports the victim said that a known person had taken her camera and given it to her sister, a man who came with the woman to make the complaint said that he saw the man who is slightly known to both parties had the camera to the victim’s sister on a Main Street sidewalk, the officer spoke with victim’s sister who denied any knowledge of the camera and said that she has known the suspect only for a week, none of the involved parties reported knowing where the suspect lives;
8:35 p.m.: assist citizen, Crown Street, a caller reports she has inadvertently locked herself out of her residence but her two-year-old child is inside, dual response dispatched, the responding firefighters report entry was made.
