1:43 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Lockhouse Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed on Lockhouse Road and used radar to determine the vehicle was traveling at 45 mph in 30 mph zone, the vehicle was stopped and the operator produced an expired Mexican driver’s license, the officer reports a check revealed the man to be the subject of outstanding warrants, Manuel Morales, 34, of 155 River St., West Springfield, was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding in violation of special regulations and on two warrants, during the booking process the man was found to have two social security numbers which he could not explain, the case was referred to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency;
2:02 a.m.: incapacitated person, Arnold Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a female party urinating in the middle of an Arnold Street parking lot, the officer reports the incident occurred as local bars were closing and pedestrians were walking through the parking lot, the officer reports the woman and her sister were uncooperative, insulting, appeared to be intoxicated and one repeatedly refused to identify herself, the officer was able to contact the women’s mother who came to get them and apologized to the officer for their actions;
11:42 a.m.: breaking and entering, Avery Street, a caller reports past breaking and entering, the responding officer reports the caller said that she rents a house to college students who are away for the summer and on Monday she found all the doors to the house were open and a window screen had been removed, the woman reports she believes someone has been using the residence and provided evidence that somebody had ordered pizza to be delivered there the day before, the officer reports that he found evidence of marijuana use in the house, the caller said that she does not believe anything was taken and said she will confer with her tenants before pursuing criminal charges;
11:57 a.m.: larceny, Noble Avenue, a caller reports video games and a game cube were stolen from her residence and said she found the purloined property at a local video game store, the case was referred to the detective bureau;
12:11 p.m.: larceny, North Road, a resident came to the station to report the theft of mail from his mailbox, the responding officer reports the complainant said that he had been away for a few days in June and believes credit card and bank statements were stolen from his mailbox then, the man told the officer that there has been no untoward activity on his accounts to date, the man was advised to check his credit record frequently;
12:32 p.m.: found property, Elm Street, an employee of a social club reports finding a wallet, the dispatcher reports no contact was made immediately with the owner, the wallet was held at the station for safe keeping;
1:44 p.m.: larceny, Southampton Road, a caller reports cash was stolen from her residence while she was sleeping, the responding officer reports the caller said that her locked house was entered overnight and several hundred dollars was stolen from her purse while it was in a closet of the bedroom where she was sleeping, the officer found no sign of forcible entry and the caller said that she believes the perpetrator has a key to the house, the woman was advised to change the locks, the case was referred to the detective bureau;
3:19 p.m.: breaking and entering, Heggie Drive, a resident came to the station to report her vehicle was broken into, the responding officer reports the caller said that overnight the vehicle which she does not believe was locked was entered while it was parked at her home and a low value gift card was stolen.
