SOUTHWICK – The girls’ sports program at Southwick-Tolland Regional came up just short in a handful of events over the course of the last 24 hours, or so. Here is a recap:
FIELD HOCKEY
Turners Falls 3, Southwick-Tolland 2
Sydney Rogers and Montana Canizzaro each scored in a tough-luck loss for Southwick-Tolland Regional Thursday. Rams’ Sarah Bodzinski made eight saves.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Ware def. Southwick 25-11, 25-13, 25-16
Ashley Consoling (5 kills, 1 ace), Jessica Martin (8 assists), and Bri Bourassa (9 digs) played well for Southwick on Wednesday.

GIRLS’ SOCCER
Hampshire 2, Southwick 1
Lydia Kinsman scored on a pass from Britt Munson for Southwick, which entered halftime Thursday tied 1-1. Rams’ goalie Meg Zabik collected 10 saves.
JV RESULTS
Southwick 1, Hampshire 0
Samantha Perusse scored a first-half goal to lead Southwick (5-7) to victory Thursday. Kayla Bergendale (10 saves) earned the victory in net for the Rams.
