Kathleen E. McKee

WESTFIELD: Kathleen E. McKee, 66, (1954-2020) passed away at her home in Westfield, MA on Monday, October 5, 2020. At the time of her passing Kathleen was surrounded by those she cherished the most, her husband of 40 years and her devoted family.

Kathleen was born on August 13, 1954, in Springfield, MA to James J. Conway and Sarah A. (O’Donahoe) Conway.

Kathleen graduated from Cathedral High School, Springfield, MA Class of 1972. Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia Northern Community College. Kathleen dedicated 25 years practicing nursing at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA. A majority of her years were spent caring for patients at Weldon Rehabilitation Hospital, before her retirement in 2012.

Kathleen enjoyed her travels with her husband Chuck, visiting the Caribbean and their timeshare in Aruba.

Kathleen was an avid reader and enthusiastically looked forward to sharing the storyline with Chuck as soon as she finished the last chapter. Chuck often jokes that he has not read a book in many years – Kathleen was his very own personal Kindle. In her spare time, Kathleen enjoyed painting, gardening, and being in Nature enjoying a walk with her dogs. She and Chuck enjoyed riding the Rails to Trails, often riding roundtrips from Westfield to Simsbury.

Kathleen is predeceased by her parents James J. and Sarah A. Conway. Kathleen is survived by her 12 siblings: Mary Anne Tourtellote & her husband John of Westfield, MA, Eileen Passo & her husband Jeff of Westfield, MA, John Conway & his wife Lynn of Santa Maria, CA, Margaret Murphy & her husband Joseph of Westfield, MA, Patricia Bryant and her husband Doc of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Daniel Conway & his wife Celina of Wilbraham, MA, Julia Mitchell & her husband Malcom of Crawfordsville, IN, Thomas Conway & his wife Carolyn of Longmeadow, MA, Colleen MacNamee & her husband Robert of Cummaquid, MA, Maureen McKenney & her husband Peter of Dennis, MA, Theresa Conway of Brattleboro, VT and Sean Conway & his partner Wayne McIntosh of Phoenix, AZ.
