Kielbasa beats ‘The Putz’

NFLlogoFor as long as I can remember, Week 1 has always presented a challenge to me.
NFL teams are coming off preseason action where they fail to tip their hand. The deck has been shuffled with free agents and draft picks settling into their new homes. So I am somewhat overjoyed to have put together a 9-4 record to begin our 17-week run of our “Beat ‘ThePutz’” NFL contest.
In the sport’s opening weekend, I went 9-4, losing four picks by a combined 16 points. But there were other contestants who fared even better.
Mark Kielbasa, of Westfield put together a sparkling record of 12-1 to win the weekly prize.  His only loss was Pittsburgh.
Two other entries featured records of 11-2, and 12 contestants finished 10-3.
Next up: key games between RG3 and Aaron Rodgers, Dallas versus Kansas City, New Orleans at Tampa Bay, the Mannings against one another, and San Fran at Seattle.
