Letter: Thank you Southwick first responders

To the Editor,
Friday afternoon our concrete steps glazed over in the light rain in the short time that my daughter-in-law, who had stopped in, and I enjoyed a cup of tea. When she left, she slipped, fell and crashed onto the steps. My husband helped her get back into the house and I called 911 as she was in terrible pain. The Southwick police were here in less than five minutes and were incredibly gentle, kind and professional as they evaluated her. The Southwick ambulance was already out so Westfield came quickly and there again the crew was amazing.
Michele was transported to Noble ER where again, the care she received and the manner in which it was given was so good, I just had to thank everyone. Every person that dealt with me as family was calm, kind and courteous also.
Thank you!
Carolyn Mills
(Note:  Her dislocated shoulder was put back into place and she is in a sling, home recovering.)
