WESTFIELD – Opening Day for Westfield Little League is nearly upon us.
Westfield Little League will kick off the 2016 regular season with the annual parade this Saturday, April 16, beginning at South Middle School at 9:30 a.m.
Players are asked to arrive at the school an hour prior to the event at 8:30 that morning.
The parade will step off promptly at 9:30, proceed down Silver Street, and end at Ralph E. Sanville Memorial Field on Cross Street. Players for both baseball and softball should be in full uniform, but wear comfortable shoes for the parade.
The Opening Day Ceremony will begin at the field around 10 a.m., and last approximately 30 minutes.
Parents are being urged not to park in the Cross Street lot. On-street parking on the street is also not allowed.
