WESTFIELD – Westfield Post 124 won its second straight game, 4-0, in the American Legion Baseball League, shutting out Northampton last night.
Westfield’s Adam Mayhew threw out eight batters in a complete-game, 127-pitch performance. Mayhew also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a run and RBI.
Jeremy Tanguay went 2-for-2 with two runs scored for Post 124, and Joe Lubanski was 2-for-2 at the plate with a run scored.
Westfield (2-1) will host West Springfield Thursday and Aldenville Friday at Jachym Field. Both games are scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m.
