MONSON – Monson rallied from a one-goal deficit, scoring four unanswered goals to defeat visiting Southwick 4-1 Tuesday.
Lydia Kinsman scored the lone goal for Southwick. Rams’ goalie Tori Richburg made 11 saves.
Southwick will get a chance to close out the regular season on a positive note when the Rams return home for “Senior Night” against Sabis Friday at Whalley Park at 6:30 p.m.

Beavers escape with win
Putnam 1, St. Mary 0
St. Mary delivered one of its finest efforts of the season.
Francesca DePergola stopped 22 of 23 Putnam shots; Olivia White and Elisa Kosinski pressured Putnam’s defense up front; Ashley Forest and Brianna Rivera helped control the midfield, forcing play to the sidelines; and Sam Mancino, Jenna Turrini, and Steph Allen delivered on defense.
“The team never gave up even when the clock was running out,” St. Mary coach Andy Lussier said.

Blue Devils shut out WHS
Northampton 2, Westfield 0
Alexandra Bertuch-Wallace and Hannah Finn-Erb scored one goal apiece to lead Northampton at home. Jessica Healey made 12 saves for Westfield.

HCSS downs Westfield Tech
Hampden Charter School of Science 7, Westfield Technical Academy 1
Madison Sheehan recorded a hat trick, Gizem Arslan tallied two goals, and two others netted one apiece as HCSS exploded past visiting Westfield Tech.
Heather Lannon scored the lone goal for the Tigers.

Bombers streak past ‘Chaug, Hamp’
Westfield, 130.475; Minnechaug, 129.85; Hampshire, 126.875
Emma Kotfilia fueled a victory for red-hot unbeaten Westfield, winning the all-around competition (34.025) with first-place finishes on the uneven bars (8.75) and floor exercise (8.9).
Mairead Hagan (2nd/bars/8.50) and Marissa Powers (3rd/floor/8.55) also claimed top three finishes in their respective events.
Westfield extended its unbeaten streak, spanning nearly a decade, to 151-0.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Lions sweep Bombers
Ludlow def. Westfield 25-16, 25-21, 25-23
Olivia Barbeau had 11 assists and eight digs, and Mia Jeronimo had eight kills to lead Ludlow to a home sweep.
Kelsey Johnstone finished with 16 assists and three kills for Westfield. Bombers’ McKenzie Chaban delivered eight kills.
Westfield entered Tuesday night’s contest having knocked off Pittsfield in a five-set thriller, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17, 17-25, 16-14 Friday night.
In that match, Kelsey Johnstone contributed 31 assists, eight aces, three blocks, and one kill; Alex Morin delivered 12 kills; McKenzie Chaban had 10 kills and two aces; and Katie Howard finished with seven kills and four blocks to lead Westfield.

Purple Knights top Rams
Holyoke def. Southwick 24-26, 25-22, 25-15, 25-17
Holyoke rallied from a one-set deficit to defeat visiting Southwick.
Jasmin Rodriguez (22 assists), Natasha Belardo (12 digs, 9 kills, 6 aces), and Zaisha Colon (10 digs) led Holyoke.
Olivia Diamond recorded 13 digs for Southwick.

JV GIRLS’ SOCCER
Monson 2, Southwick 1
Emily Giancolo scored the lone Southwick goal. Hannah Gerrish and Maya Daley combined for nine Rams’ saves.
