Nobody beats ‘The Putz’ in Week 14; KC-New Orleans highlights Week 15 slate

Sorry football fans, but there was no winner of our Beat The Putz Football Challenge in Week 14 as yours truly posted an unbeatable record of 12-2.
I won’t boast for long though as it is quite easy to be humbled in this business. Players have come and gone from NFL lineups at an incredible rate this season due to injuries and COVID, making it all the more difficult to predict who is even going to play.
Yet through it all, Week 2 winner Greg Masciadrelli, of Westfield found a way to go unbeaten (14-0). Masciadrelli still remains our lone “perfect” entrant.
Others like Norma Coogan (Week 5 winner), Nancy Skowyra (Week 7), Ken Martin (Week 9), Tim Tracy (Week 10), Nelson West (Week 12), and Richard Borgatti (Week 13) were just one win away from duplicating Masciadrelli’s amazing feat, each going 11-1 to win a single week.
They, along with Doug LaMont (Weeks 1, 3), Lisa Dee (Week 4), Lorna Farrington (Week 6), Mike Thomas (Week 8), and Michael Gossman (Week 11) will each be entered into our end-of-season grand prize drawing, along with the winners of Weeks 15-17.
The grand prize winner will receive a Super Bowl party at Shortstop Bar & Grill ($500 value). Second place is a $250 gift card to Michael Szwed Jewelers. Third place is a $100 gift card to Delaney’s Market.
Although this week’s contest features a bevy of lopsided games, there are two matchups which figure to draw some intrigue. The New England Patriots will attempt to keep their fleeting playoff hopes alive against the Miami Dolphins. Then, in the late game, the Chiefs and Saints collide in the Big Easy.
