Pacers stop Saints

CHICOPEE – Chicopee exploded for six first-period goals en route a convincing 9-4 win over St. Mary in a boys’ ice hockey game Saturday at Smead Arena.
John Baker (4 goals, 2 assists) and Ryan McDonough (2 goals, 4 assists) collected six points apiece to lead Chicopee. Reilly Siart (2 assists), Kenny Bonney (1 assist), Pete Chrisanthopoulos and Shaun Gezotis each scored a goal.

Chicopee goalies Tim Miner (18 saves) and Kelsey Czerniawski (11) combined for 29 saves. St. Mary keepers Matt Brady (14), Val Reopel (10), and Austin Wolfe (8) combined for 32.

Bombers post shutout
Westfield 6, Dartmouth 0

Six different players scored in Westfield’s shutout.
Josh Adams, Max Bengston, Connor Cottengim, Joe Czarnecki, Ryan Porter, and Liam Whitman each netted a goal.
Westfield goalie Cameron Parent made 32 saves for a shutout in net.

Brigitte Goeler-Slough scored two goals, Karalyn Jones finished with a goal and two assists, Tess Bonavita and Ashley Barron each had a goal and an assist, and Katelyn Joyal scored for Longmeadow-Westfield.
Longmeadow-Westfield goalie Kayla Brown (7 saves) earned a shutout.
