SOUTHWICK – Palmer started strong in each half of a boys’ basketball game against Southwick High en route to a convincing 78-60 win Friday night.
Palmer’s 22-11 run to begin the game and 27-11 third quarter proved to be the difference. Three players reached double digits for the Panthers – Matt Niemczura (24 points), Drake Bucknam (17), and Ryan McCarthy (15).
Southwick’s Ryan LeClair scored a game-high 26, and Matt Daley had 11. Rams’ Bradley Durand and Chris Molta finished with nine and eight points, respectively.
