WESTFIELD – Westfield State University forward Vince Perreault was selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) ice hockey player of the week.
The junior captain from Braeside, Ontario, registered a third-period hat trick as the Owls erased a pair of three-goal third-period deficits to rally for a 6-5 overtime victory over Stonehill. Perreault’s third goal came with 1:37 remaining in regulation.
Perreault also had an assist in Westfield’s 4-1 victory over Assumption last week.
The 3-0 Owls return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 13, when they host Plymouth State in their conference opener at 7:35 p.m. Plymouth is the defending MASCAC champion.
