Points, well … taken

LONGMEADOW – Spencer Robbins made a strong point, seven to be precise (5 goals, 2 assists) as Longmeadow cruised past visiting Westfield 15-6 in a high school boys’ lacrosse game Thursday. Noah Skole added four goals for the Lancers.
Longmeadow’s defense allowed just six shots on goal, three of which found the back of the net. Westfield’s Zach Gentle netted a hat trick (3 goals), and Bombers’ Max Maggipinto assisted twice.

McCann nips Saints
McCann Tech 7, St. Mary 5

St. Mary goalie Padraig Smith made eight saves, and Mike Kelly had one.
Rieilly Siart (2 goals, 1 assist), Sam Labombard (1 goal, assist), Ed Towers (2 assists), Aaron Blanchard (2 goals, 2 assists), Joey Taupier (1 assist), and Smith (assist) contributed on the offensive side for the Saints.

BASEBALL
Bombers win thriller
Westfield 2, Chicopee 1

Ari Schwartz tossed a seven-inning gem, Austin St. Pierre and Aidan Dunn delivered late-game heroics, and Westfield won a thriller at Szot Park in Chicopee.
Dunn started the seventh-inning rally with a two-out base knock. St. Pierre followed with a deep shot to right-center field. The Chicopee center fielder and right fielder collided, allowing Dunn to come all the way around for the game-winning run.
Westfield led from the outset.
With two outs in the top of the first inning, Mason St. Pierre singled to right field. With two strikes on Anthony Clark, Mason stole second base. Clark moved Mason over with an infield single. Clark also got into scoring position with a stolen base. The shortstop attempted to put the tag on Clark but the ball scooted into short center, allowing Mason to score.
Schwartz was magnificent on the mound, going all seven innings. He allowed just four hits, three walks, and struck out 13 batters.

Saints silence Lee
St. Mary 10, Lee 0

St. Mary jumped out to a 3-0, first-inning lead and exploded for six more runs in the fourth en route to a rout of Lee Thursday at Westfield Middle School North.
Matt Masciadrelli and Quinn Powers each had two hits and two RBIs for St. Mary. Saints’ pitcher Nate Bonini pitched 5 1-3 innings of shutout ball. He recorded eight strikeouts.

Franklin tops WTA
Franklin Tech 9, Westfield Technical Academy 5

Chris Boyden and Alex Sparks led Westfield Tech with two hits apiece. Tigers’ Andrew Daniels doubled and drove in two runs, Nate Boulay and Brandon DeGray each had a hit and an RBI, and Dante Bongiovanni also had a hit.
Cody Garwacki scattered four hits and struck out seven batters in four innings of work for Westfield Tech.

SOFTBALL
Gators outhit Sabis in loss
Sabis 9, Gateway 2

Sabis remained unbeaten, improving to 3-0 Thursday.
Gateway, which fell to 2-0, in fact, outhit Sabis 9-8. Ava Auclair (triple, run scored), Dana Britland (RBI), and Erica Wolfe each went 2-for-4 for the Gators.

Rams shut out
Turners Falls 12, Southwick 0

Southwick’s Brittany Penland went 2-for-3 with a triple.

GIRLS’ TRACK & FIELD
Klinkowski wins pair
Southwick 107, Belchertown 28

Lexie Klinkowski won the 100 hurdles (18.6) and triple jump to lead Southwick.
