3:17 a.m.: accident, Shaker Road, a caller reports that his vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a tree, the operator said that he believes his leg is broken, dual response dispatched, the operator was extricated from the vehicle and transported Baystate Medical Center, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
8:09 a.m.: a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operator failed to yield as required and stopped the car, the operator was found to be unlicensed, Roberto Aponte Santiago, 23, of 288 Pine St., Holyoke, was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a right of way violation;
10:16 a.m.: vandalism, North Elm Street, a business owner called to report graffiti on his building, the responding officer reports “tags” were spray painted on the building;
11:37 a.m.: identity fraud, Union Street, a resident came to the station to report her email account was hacked and her personal information has been stolen;
3:18 p.m.: breaking and entering, Tannery Road, a caller reports her home was broken into and property was stolen, the responding officer reports a back door was found to have been kicked in, jewelry and other property was stolen;
11:13 p.m.: disturbance, Orange Street, a caller reports a party involving college aged revelers is creating a disturbance in the neighborhood, the responding officers report peace was restored without incident;
11:13 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Shepard Street, a community policing officer reports he observed a college aged pedestrian carrying an open beer can, the officer reports when he queried the pedestrian the man said that he had picked up the can as litter, the office noted that the can the man was holding was “open, ice cold and full”, the man said that he had found it that way and picked it up to prevent it from getting into the hands of children, a city ordinance violation citation for carrying an open container of alcohol in public was issued.
