7:10 a.m.: illegal trash disposal, East Bartlett Street, a caller reports someone dumped a mattress and chairs on her lawn overnight, the responding officer requests the DPW remove the items from the city tree belt;
9:39 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Court Street at High Street, a code enforcement officer reports an illegal sign posted on the city tree belt was removed;
9:48 a.m.: animal complaint, East Main Street, the director of animal control operations reports she took custody of an injured bird and transported it to the municipal animal shelter;
11:03 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Llewellyn Drive, a code enforcement officer reports he and a building inspector responded to a complaint by a city councilor and inspected a Llewellyn Drive address, the inspectors found an unregistered vehicle and six unregistered trailers, the officer reports he spoke with a family member of the owner of the property who said that the offending items would be removed within two weeks;
11:48 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Taylor Avenue, a code enforcement officer reports he and a building inspector responded to a complaint of unregistered vehicles and inspected a Taylor Avenue Drive address, the inspectors found three unregistered vehicles, the officer reports he spoke with the widow of the owner who said that her husband passed away two months earlier and she is trying to sell the vehicles, the officer reports the woman was advised of the city law;
1:58 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Franklin Street, a traffic bureau officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and it was towed to the police impound yard, the operator was provided a courtesy transport to a Highland Avenue address;
2:59 p.m.: assist resident, Roosevelt Avenue, a caller requests an escort as she gathers property from an address where she is no longer welcome, the responding officer reports the woman’s property was on the back porch and the resident was not at home, services rendered.
