1:32 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the operator was found to be a junior operator driving outside the permitted hours, criminal complaints were filed;
12:03 p.m.: trespass, Springfield water power plant, 1711 Granville Road, Springfield Water Department employees report that a vehicle is locked inside the gated facility, the State Police were found to have jurisdiction but an officer was dispatched to assist them, the officer reports the operator of the vehicle said that the gate was open when he arrived and he saw another vehicle inside so he thought he could access the property too, the officer noted that there are several posted signs prohibiting trespass, entry and unauthorized vehicles, the man was advised of his infraction and a gate was opened to allow him to leave;
4:38 p.m.: officer wanted, Thomas Street, a caller reports finding hypodermic needles, the responding officer reports the needles were safely disposed of;
5:23 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Mountain Road, an off-duty state trooper requests assistance with a vehicle observed to be operating erratically, the responding officer report the operator’s license was found to be suspended and was not in his possession, Edwin A. Guzman, 33, of 565 Plainfield St., Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (a subsequent offense) and operating a motor vehicle without a license in his possession.
