9:17 a.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report of a stolen license plate from a resident that walked in. However, after investigating ,the plate was later found by another resident and was not suspected to have been stolen.

10:31 a.m.: Accident, Friendly’s Way and Southampton Road. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2016 Ford Econoline and an unknown second vehicle that caused injuries. The second vehicle fled the scene and a driver for PVTA had witnessed the crash. The driver who was injured from the rear-end collision was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital by Westfield Fire paramedics via ambulance.

10:35 a.m.: Fraud, walk-in. Police received a report of a scam that had resulted in a resident losing $250. The fraud was reportedly over the telephone and after $15,000 was requested from the resident, that was when they were aware of the fraudulence.

2:43 p.m.: Accident, Union Street and Union Avenue. Police received a report for a minor two-vehicle crash involving a 2005 Dodge Dakota and a 2009 Acura SE. No injuries and both cars were able to be driven from the scene.

3:37 p.m.: Shoplifting, Montgomery Street. Police received a report of two minors who reportedly stole items from a local convenience store. Police apprehended the two and charged one with shoplifting. Due to being minors their identities are not given by police.

4:14 p.m.: Accident, Main Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving 2009 Nissan Maxima and a 2011 Nissan Versa. Police received a report that everyone was out of the vehicles but one of the vehicles may have been smoking inside. Police reported that one person was transported to Baystate Noble by Westfield Fire paramedics via ambulance.

5:49 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation, Franklin Street. Police received a report for a vehicle that was operating erratically from a citizen, and upon stopping the vehicle they found that the driver was having a possible diabetic issue. Police requested an ambulance for the person and upon further investigation, found that the driver was also reportedly driving the vehicle that was suspected in the earlier hit and run. The person was transported via ambulance to Baystate Noble by Westfield Fire paramedics.

6:50 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Lozier Avenue. Police stopped a vehicle after noticing that the inspection sticker had expired. Upon stopping the vehicle they noticed that the passenger, Kayla Rae Fanion, 26, of Woronoco, was also wanted on an arrest warrant. Police arrested Fanion on that warrant.
