2:16 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Park Square, a patrol officer reports he observed two 16-year-old boys riding skateboards in the middle of Broad Street, the officer reports the boys were advised of the possible consequences of their actions and provided courtesy transports to their homes on Stuart Circle and Klondike Avenue, the officer reports he was not able to speak with their parents;
10:10 a.m.: breaking and entering, Notre Dame Street, a caller reports a restaurant has been broken into and a safe has been stolen, the responding officer reports the manager said that she arrived to find the rear door damaged and the safe missing, the manager said the theft occurred sometime after the restaurant closed at 11 p.m. the night before;
10:48 a.m.: larceny, Lockhouse Road, a caller from a tree service company reports a chainsaw was stolen from a company truck, the responding officer reports the caller said the saw was last seen in a bucket truck about 11 p.m. the night before, the officer reports he was unable to immediately speak with an employee who had last used the truck;
11:10 a.m.: breaking and entering, Summit Lock Road, a caller from a truck salvage business reports the facility was entered and property was stolen, the responding officer reports an employee said that when he arrived for work he found a lock had been cut from the gate and an inspection revealed that a lock had also been cut from a box truck used for storage, the officer reports the man said that he could not immediately determine what had been stolen from the truck and said that he moved a pile of copper and brass items which had been stacked, apparently for removal;
4:06 p.m.: arrest, Pequot Point Road, a detective reports that the subject of an outstanding warrant was found in the Pequot Point Road area, Carl E. Courchesne, 42, of 29 Cottage Ave., Southampton, was arrested on the warrant;
4:08 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance, the plates were seized and the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
5:04 p.m.: incapacitated, person, Bartlett Street, a caller reports a person riding a bicycle which is towing a carriage keeps falling off and may be intoxicated, the responding officer reports a routine check revealed the man to be the subject of two outstanding warrants, Robert D. Taylor, 50, of 29 Linden Ave., was arrested on two warrants;
10:46 p.m.: recreational vehicle complaint, East Main Street, a patrol office reports he observed a dirt bike operating on East Main Street and stopped it on Little River Road, the officer reports a routine check revealed that the operator’s license had been revoked and the motorcycle was not registered, Richard E. Gendreau, 58, of 14 Larivee Lane, Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a recreational vehicle on a public way and for failure to produce registration for a recreational vehicle.
