Local company recognized

WESTFIELD – A local construction company, Forish Construction based on Mainline Drive, has been presented a silver ‘Safety, Training, Evaluation Program’ award by the Gould Construction Institute.
The institute, the training affiliate of the Western Massachusetts chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, presented the award at the 8th annual Safety and Education Dinner staged in Stoneham recently to recognize the institute’s students and their employers “who are truly committed to ensuring a safe environment” on job sites.
Eric Forish, president of Forish Construction, said “We’re proud of it” and said the company won the award because “we have a very very low incidence of workmen’s compensation incidents.”
“We’re very proactive about safety” Forish said and said “we take it very seriously” because “our industry is very dangerous.”
He said that this is not the first time his company has won the award.
