5:03 a.m.: suspicious activity, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports that while checking the retail buildings on East Main Street he found a man rummaging in a refuse receptacle who said he was looking for things he can reuse, the officer reports the man was sent on his way;
8:55 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating at an excessive rate of speed and stopped the car, the operator’s license was found to have been revoked as a habitual traffic offender, John C. Mazeski III, 35, of 33 Chestnut St., Chicopee, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as a habitual traffic offender and for speeding;
2:52 p.m.: officer wanted, a caller reports a threat to kill her daughter, the responding officer reports the caller said that she received a call threatening to kill her daughter and recognized the suspect’s voice as she had received similar calls previously, the woman said that the calls had stopped for a time after an officer spoke with suspect, the officer referred the incident to the officer who originally dealt with the man, that officer reports he spoke with the suspect’s parents and when the man called him back he denied making any harassing or threatening calls, the man was advised that if the calls continue criminal charges may be brought to bear;
4:07 p.m.: trespass. Main Street, a caller from a Main Street business reports a man who has previously been served with a ‘No trespassing’ order refuses to leave the store, the responding officer reports the man was outside the store upon his arrival, a criminal complaint was filed;
8:56 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle was found to be unregistered and it was towed to the police impound yard;
11:06 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports a juvenile shoplifter has been detained, the responding officer reports the store declined to seek criminal charges but served the suspect with a ‘No trespassing’ order, the boy was surrendered to the custody of his guardians.
