Emergency response and crime report

1:24 a.m.: assault, Court House Square Apartments, 27 Washington St., a caller reports earlier in the evening he was assaulted by a group of persons which included one party he can identify, the responding officer reports the caller and two witnesses said that a group of people forced their way into an apartment and assaulted them, the officer reports the identified suspect was not immediately found and criminal complaints for assault and battery, unarmed burglary and assault, vandalism and trespass were filed, see 1:49 p.m. entry;
6:30 a.m.: arrest, Parker Avenue, officers identified a suspect in series of burglaries and a warrant was issued, officers report the suspect was sought and found at his home, Justin M. Cushman, 26, of 40 Parker Ave., was arrested on the warrant;
9:51 a.m.: animal complaint, Montgomery Road, a caller reports a deer entered the path of his vehicle and was struck, the responding officer reports the deer was seriously injured but fled a short distance into the woods where it was located and dispatched, a use of force from was filed and the deer was removed by an interested party;
1:49 p.m.: arrest, Western Avenue, a detective investigating a previous assault reports he located the suspect, Joseph Alibrandi, 21, of 81 Longwood Road, Quincy, was arrested on three charges of assault and battery and charges of unarmed and burglary and assault, vandalizing property and trespass;
1:53 p.m.: school investigation, Russell Road School, 754 Russell Road, a school resource officer reports the principal of the alternative school advised him that a pupil was believed to have brought marijuana to the school, the SRO reports the boy was cooperative when confronted and surrendered a small amount of marijuana, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
5:08 p.m.: breaking and entering, Moseley School, 25 Dartmouth Street, a caller reports a door may be ajar at the vacant school, the responding officer reports a search did not reveal anyone inside but indications of forcible entry and evidence that someone had been inside were found, city officials were contacted to secure the building;
6:28 p.m.: assist citizen, Westfield Police Department, 15 Washington St., a Westfield State University student came to the station to report she is the victim of online harassment, the responding officer reports the woman said that an indentified man is attempting to coerce her into continuing their relationship by threatening to post nude photos she had sent him on social media web sites, the woman was advised to block him from her social media sites and to advise WSU police of the situation so they can better respond to any related incidents which may arise, the officer reports he was unable to immediately contact the suspect but left a message for him.
