8:08 a.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road auto dealer reports damage to a pickup truck, the responding officer reports the grill was broken off and the radiator was stolen from the truck, tie downs were also stolen, the complainant called back later to report that a storage shed had been broken into and equipment valued at about $1,500 had been stolen;
10:00 a.m.: fraud, Holland Avenue, a caller reports an attempted scam, the responding detective reports that the woman responded to an on-line ad for a secret shopper and was sent a U.S. postal money order and instructions to use part of the funds to fulfill a shopping assignment and to forward the bulk of the money to another address, the detective reports the woman did not attempt to cash the money order which was found to be fraudulent, the case was referred to the Postal Inspectors;
11:48 a.m.: larceny, 126 Union St., a resident came to the station to report misuse of her credit card, the responding officer reports the complainant said that a former roommate had used her credit card without authority;
12:33 p.m.: vandalism, Union Street, a caller reports that her truck and trailer were parked at a car repair facility overnight and the grill was removed, the responding officer reports the woman said that there are now numerous scratches and dents on the vehicle and ancillary equipment was stolen from the trailer;
1:17 p.m.: identity fraud, Forest Glen Drive, a resident came to the station to complain that her accounts have been compromised, the responding officer reports the woman said that she had responded to a notification that her computer was infected with a virus and subsequently found her PayPal and other accounts compromised, the officer reports that there was no loss from the accounts;
5:42 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, a resident came to the station to complain that his daughter’s razor scooter was stolen, the responding officer reports the man said that his daughter rode her scooter to the supermarket and left it outside when she went in, the scooter was missing when she returned.
