12:18 a.m.: liquor law violation, Thomas Street, a community policing officer reports he issued city ordinance violation citations for liquor law violations;
12:49 a.m.: liquor law violation, White Street at Dubois Street, a community policing officer reports he issued a city ordinance violation citation for a liquor law violation;
12:57 a.m.: liquor law violation, Dubois Street, a community policing officer reports a liquor law violation;
1:18 a.m.: arrest, Shepard Street, an officer reports he sought the subject of an outstanding warrant at his home, the officer reports a family member awakened Aleksandr Olegevich Chulanov, 21, of 12 Shepard St., who was arrested without incident,
10:05 a.m.: vandalism, Franklin Street, caller reports vandalism to a store’s planter, the responding officer reports a representative of a sports store complained that a brick planter was found to have been damaged and the repair cost was estimated at about $300;
10:16 a.m.: disturbance, Orange Street, a caller reports a male party is bleeding, see story in the Monday edition of The Westfield News;
11:27 a.m.: assist citizen, Jefferson Street, a caller requests assistance gathering her possessions from a residence she is barred from by a protective order, the responding officer reports that the woman removed items “without too much bickering” but complained that the resident broke her television;
12:31 p.m.: accident, Franklin Street at Malone Avenue, a caller reports a crash involving a pedestrian, the responding officer reports he found that a motor vehicle operator stopped for a bicyclist crossing Franklin Street but did not see a second bicyclist crossing in a crosswalk and struck the bike, the cyclist was transported to Noble Hospital where she was treated and released;
1:19 p.m.: animal complaint, Union Street, a caller reports two raccoons are trapped in a rubbish receptacle, the responding animal control officer reports that the animals were freed;
3:55 p.m.: found property, a person came to the station to surrender a cell phone she found;
4:37 p.m.; fire, Beverly Drive, a caller reports outdoor burning, the responding firefighters reports an unattended fire was found in a fire pit, the resident was informed of the pertinent city ordinances and advised to extinguish the fire;
4:42 p.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, a caller reports a finding a small dog, perhaps a Corgi, which she will deliver to the shelter, the responding animal control officer reports she took custody of the dog;
5:24 p.m.: larceny, Bates Road, a caller reports the theft of firearms from his home, the responding officer reports that the caller said that he found two plastic boxes which he keeps locked and wrapped with a metal cable had been opened and two handguns, a gold chain and a camera had been stolen, the caller’s roommate said that a video camera had been stolen from his room, there were no signs of forcible entry, the victims identified a suspect but acknowledged that there was no evidence linking him to the crime, the case was referred to the detective bureau;
5:31 p.m.: found property, Union Street, a resident came to the station to surrender a pile of child pornography she reported finding while looking for redeemable cans in a public trash barrel near Union Street;
9:20 p.m.: loitering, Park Square, Broad Street, a patrol officer reports he observed youths with skateboards and scooters jumping off the granite structures at the park, the officer reports he advised the youths that their toys are prohibited at the park;
10:19 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller reports a light was stolen from his vehicle while he was working, the responding officer reports the caller said that secondary side light was removed from his vehicle between 6:30 – 10 p.m. while he was working;
10:23 p.m.: disturbance, Woronoco Avenue, a caller reports a large college aged party, the responding community policing officer reports about 25 participants were found and agreed to cease disturbing their neighbors;
10:24 p.m.: assault, Elm Street, a caller reports she was assaulted, the responding officer reports the woman was wet and said that she had been smoking marijuana under the bridge when a male party name Eric punched her and pushed her into the water, the woman was transported to Noble Hospital where no indications of an assault were found, a search of the area did not yield a suspect;
10:43 p.m.: disturbance, Mechanic Street, a caller reports a large party, the responding officer reports more than 150 persons were in the residence and the property manager was notified, the officer reports that two persons who were younger than the legal drinking age were found to be in possession of liquor and city ordinance violation citations were issued;
11:20 p.m.: disturbance, Woronoco Avenue, a caller who described himself at “an angry citizen” reports very loud college aged party with vehicles parked all over the street, the responding community policing officer reports he found about 10 people watching a football game who were advised of the complaint, the landlord was notified;
11:34 p.m.: incapacitated person, North Elm Street at Lockhouse Road, a firefighter called to report a female party sitting on a curb in a dangerous location, the responding officer reports the woman said that she returned to the city for a college reunion and was walking back to a Southampton Road motel from an Elm Street bar, the woman was obviously highly intoxicated and could not contact any friend to care for her, the woman was placed in protective custody.
