12:24 a.m.: found property, Shaker Road, a caller reports finding an abandoned bicycle with a damaged wheel, the responding officer reports the bike was found with traces of blood and a K-9 team was deployed but searched the area without success, a check of hospitals and the fire department yielded no information about a person who may have been injured in a bicycle crash, Southwick police report the bike was apparently stolen in their town;
3:01 a.m.: assist other police department, Colony Drive, an Agawam officer called to ask if city police could check with a Colony Drive resident to see if a GPS device had been stolen, the responding officer reports he arrived at the indicated Colony Drive address and observed a vehicle which appeared to have been broken into, the resident said that he had not been aware of the theft but confirmed that the GPS in question had been stolen, the Agawam officer reported that the device had been recovered;
8:19 a.m.: breaking and entering, Shaker Farms Country Club, 866 Shaker Road, a caller reports the business was broken into, the responding detective reports the investigation is ongoing;
8:46 a.m.: breaking and entering, Main Street, caller from a convenience store reports that the door was open when he arrived and money was missing from the safe, the responding detective reports the investigation is ongoing;
12:07 p.m.: vandalism, Bartlett Street, a caller reports vandalism to his fence, the responding officer reports the caller said that five logs of a log fence were snapped off and left on the ground;
1:46 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller reports a customer’s bicycle was stolen, the responding officer reports the victim said that he had been inside the store for about two hours and left to find his bike gone, a store security employee played security video for the officer which showed a suspect take the bike, the suspect was not immediately found;
2:57 p.m.: assist other agency, Jefferson Street, a caller from the Department of Children and Families identified the probable location of the subject of an outstanding warrant, the responding officer reports the suspect was found at the address, Des’ray B. King, 17, of 7 Jefferson St., was arrested on the warrant without incident;
4:52 p.m.: larceny, Meadow Street, a caller reports her former boyfriend stole her cell phone, the responding officer reports the woman said that during an argument her former boyfriend stole her phone, the man had left the area and a search did not yield the suspect;
5:21 p.m.: animal complaint, Union Street, a resident came to the station to report her daughter was bitten by a dog, the responding officer reports the woman said that her 10-year-old daughter had been passing a Union Street address and a dog jumped up on the fence, the woman said the girl petted the dog which bit her resulting in two puncture wounds, the dog’s owner could not be immediately contacted and the incident was referred to the animal control officer;
5:22 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Elm Street, the community policing supervisor reports a merchant who had been issued a city ordinance violation citation for obstructing a sidewalk has not paid the fine, the officer reports he is seeking a criminal charge;
7:39 p.m.: breaking and entering, Casmir Street, a caller reports that he come home after a brief absence and found his home had been broken into, the responding officer reports the caller said that he had been gone most of the day and returned to find his door had been forcibly opened, the man told the officer that a laptop computer and medications had been stolen;
10:08 p.m.: vandalism, Ashley Street, a caller reports that the rear window of her vehicle was smashed, the responding officer report the woman said that she parked her car on the street and when she returned to it about a half hour later the rear window looked odd, the woman said she investigated to find it had been smashed, the woman said that nothing appears to have been taken from the car and the officer reports he was unable to determine what had been used to break the window;
11:29 p.m.: liquor law violation, Mechanic Street, a community policing officer reports a liquor law violation, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
11:40 p.m.: liquor law violation, Mechanic Street, community policing officers report liquor law violations, two city ordinance violation citations were issued.
