7:23 p.m.: fire, Kellogg Street, a patrol officer reports he was flagged down by a resident who informed him of smoke at a nearby address, the officer reports he advised a resident of the city ordinances pertinent to burning brush, the fire was extinguished;
9:19 p.m.: fire, Franklin Street, a caller reports a campfire may be a hazard, the responding officer reports the small fire contained in a commercial fire pit is not a hazard;
9:38 p.m.: noise complaint, Lincoln Street, a caller complains that persons at a neighbor’s party are screaming, swearing and beating on drums, the responding officer reports the residents said that the participants were playing a drinking game which was causing the noise, the tenants agreed to disperse their gathering;
9:46 p.m.: fire, Franklin Street, a caller reports a neighbor has a bonfire, the responding firefighters report the resident was advised to extinguish the fire;
11:08 p.m.: disturbance, Valley View Drive, multiple callers report a disturbance, the responding officer reports he encountered a female party on the front steps who was yelling at a man, the officer reports he observed an odor of alcohol about the woman who continued to yell and declined to calm down, the officer reports that when the woman rushed the man he took her into custody, Denise M. Barrett, 51, of 10 Clark St., was arrested for disorderly conduct;
11:23 p.m.: fire, Franklin Street, a caller reports a neighbor still has a bonfire, the responding firefighters report the resident was advised of the fine which will be levied if there is another complaint;

1:12 a.m.: fireworks, Crown Street, a caller reports fireworks in the area, the responding officer reports that while previous similar complaints have not been substantiated he was advised that residents of a specific house are expending fireworks from a second floor porch, the officer reports that he and a supervisor observed a person throw two firecrackers from a porch but nobody would answer the door, the incident was referred to the community policing officer for the area;
6:48 a.m.: found property, East Main Street, a patrol supervisor reports a wallet found in the parking lot of the Little River Plaza was returned to its owner;
10:41 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating northbound on Elm Street fail to stop for a red traffic signal, the vehicle was stopped and the operator was found to possess only a learner’s permit and the passenger was neither an adult nor licensed, the operator’s brother came to the scene and was found to be an adult licensed operator, a criminal complaint was filed;
10:59 a.m.: animal complaint, Putnam Drive, a caller reports an injured hawk is in his back yard, a responding animal control officer took custody of the bird;
11:27 a.m.; assist resident, Broad Street, a caller from a nursing facility reports persons are trapped in an elevator, the responding firefighters report the elevator was reset and the occupant removed;
11:35 a.m.; threat to commit a crime, Morris Avenue, a caller reports her boyfriend’s former wife has made threats toward herself and her baby, the responding officer reports the woman said that when she encounters her boyfriend’s former wife the woman makes threatening comments directed at herself and her unborn child, the officer reports a criminal complaint for threatening to commit a crime was filed;
11:49 a.m.: larceny, First Avenue, a resident came to the station to report a contractor has not performed the work for which he was paid, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she paid a considerable portion of the cost to replace her roof to a roofer who has repeatedly failed to start the job when promised, the woman said she no longer wants the man to do the job and wants her money back, the officer reports the roofer acknowledged that he has been paid and said that he plans to perform the work, the officer reports the man was advised to make restitution and a criminal complaint was filed;
11:52 a.m.: officer wanted, Ridgeway Street, a caller reports that a neighbor bulldozed brush on to his property a week earlier and won’t remove it, the responding officer reports the caller said that he has asked his neighbor to remove the brush but he is not cooperative, the officer reports he spoke with the neighbor who said the brush would be removed by mid-week;
12:01 p.m.: fire, Meadow Street, a caller reports a resident is burning brush, the responding firefighters report the resident was advised of the pertinent regulations;
12:15 p.m.: illegal dumping, Ashley Street School, 22 Ashley Street, a caller reports a person is dumping brush and other materials in the rubbish receptacle at the school, the responding officer reports he determined who had been using the vehicle described and the man agreed to remove the material;
1:36 p.m.: fire, Powder Mil Village, 126 Union St., two callers report a fire in a rubbish receptacle, the responding firefighters report the fire was extinguished;
2:30 p.m.: larceny, Walmart, 141 Springfield Road, a caller reports a shoplifter stole a load of diapers, the responding officer reports a store employee said that a couple was seen on security monitors loading a cart with diapers and leaving the store without attempting to make payment, the employee said that the couple was accosted outside the store but managed to transfer the merchandise to a pickup truck and leave the parking lot without stopping for a stop sign, the case was referred to the detective bureau;
3:20 p.m.: fire, Kittredge Drive, a caller reports a burning complaint, the responding firefighters report the resident was advised of the complaint and agreed to extinguish the fire;
3:48 p.m.: larceny, Carroll Drive, supervisory detective reports the owner of medication found in the possession of an arrested man was contacted and said that although she knows the suspect slightly she does not know how he came to be in possession of her medication, the woman also said that her purse had been stolen;
4:39 p.m.: violation of a protective order, Hillside Road, a resident came to the station to report that a relative violated the “no contact” clause of a protective order by sending her a text message, the responding officer reports that the man’s location is unknown, a criminal complaint was filed and a warrant was sought;
5:25 p.m.: incapacitated person, Southwick Road, a caller reports his former wife has his son in her car and is highly intoxicated, the responding officer reports the caller said that his former wife arrived with their grandchild whose custody they share and two others, the officer observed that that woman appeared to be intoxicated and he saw an open container of vodka in the car, the woman was placed in protective custody;
11:56 p.m.: disturbance, Mechanic Street, a supervisory officer reports he encountered about 100 college aged youths on Mechanic Street and at the corner of Thomas Street, the officer reports that no alcohol was visible and the gathering dispersed peacefully.
