MONSON – It was an historic night for the Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional High School girls’ basketball team.
Southwick defeated Monson for the first time in nearly a decade, eclipsing the Mustangs 41-38 Tuesday evening.
Morgan Harriman and McKinley White paved the way for the Rams (3-1) with 12 points apiece.
Southwick rallied from a five-point deficit with six minutes remaining to pull of the upset on the road.
“We played tough defense, had smart ball movement, and were able to squeeze it out,” Southwick assistant coach Rick Harriman said.
