WESTFIELD – Rudolph F. Santowski, 92, of Westfield died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Noble Hospital. He was born in Westfield on June 9, 1921 to Karol and Mary (Frez) Santowski.
He graduated from Westfield High School in 1939 and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western New England College in 1956. Rudolph was a US Army WWII US army Air Corps Veteran serving from 1943-1945 severing as a flight engineer and aerial gunner. Rudolph worked for various companies and retired in 1983 from Precision Tool and Manufacturing in Westfield. He was a member of American Legion Post 124 in Westfield and the Westfield Sportsman Club.
Rudolph was the widower of Jeanne (Russo) Santowski who died in November of 1968. His daughter, Patricia A. Santowski died in March of 1998. Rudolph leaves a son, Robert J. Santowski of Wrentham and his brothers, Willard and Emil both of Westfield.
Funeral with burial in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Westfield were at the convenience of the family. Calling hours were omitted.
