GREENFIELD – After a scoring drought for the game’s first 70 minutes, Westfield Voc-Tech and Greenfield each tallied a goal in the final 10 of a boys’ soccer game before ending deadlocked at 1-1.
Greenfield broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 70th minute. Voc-Tech responded with the game-tying goal three minutes later on a shot from Dmitry Stepanchuk. Adam Guilbert assisted on the play.
Vitaly Covileac made 16 saves in net for Voc-Tech, including three outstanding stops.
“It was a tremendous effort by all Voc-Tech players,” Tigers coach Kyle Dulude said. “Dominic Rosario played with extreme passion and heart in the midfield for the entire 80 minutes … I hope we keep this new determined, never-quit attitude.”
