Sandra L. Marshall

frenette11SOUTHWICK – Sandra L. (Brown) Marshall passed away on April 18, 2013 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam after a long courageous battle with renal failure. She was a resident of Southwick. Sandy was born in Westfield, MA on September 26, 1946 a daughter of David and Charlotte (Depping) Brown.
Sandy accompanied her parents when her father, who was a member of the Air Force, was stationed in Saudi Arabia, Alaska, Maine, and Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Southwick High School Class of 1965. She previously worked as a receptionist for Governor’s Center in Westfield and the American Inn in Southwick. Sandy was Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Golden Chapter in Westfield, and was also a member of the Ahelm Temple #84 Daughters of the Nile of Springfield.
She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Alan Marshall; her mother, Charlotte M. Brown; her daughters, Candance Mefford and her husband Randall of Lakewood, WA, Allyson Frenette and her husband John of Layton UT; her sons, James O’Hara and his wife Karen of Enfield, CT and Scott O’Hara of UT; brother, James A. Brown and his wife Mildred of Maine, and her sister, Judith A. Frenette and her husband James of Southwick, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. She was predeceased by her father, David in 1996; a son, Dana Oberheim in 1980, and a sister-in-law, Mary Brown in 2010.
A memorial service will be held on May 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge at 72 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

The family wishes to thank the caring and compassionate staff of Heritage Hall South and Dialysis Unit who saw to Sandy’s care in her final months.
