BOSTON – The Westfield State University women’s swimming and diving team dropped a 160.5 to 127.5 decision to Simmons College in its 2013-14 season opener on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Double winners for the Owls were junior Katie Sterpka in the one- and three-meter dives and senior Kirsten LaMotte in the 50 breaststroke (33.05) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.06).
Placing second for the Owls were junior Holly Arel (50 butterfly, 100 butterfly), junior Kerry Sullivan (100 backstroke, 200 backstroke), and senior Emily Fullerton (one- and three-meter dives).
