SOUTHWICK – Southwick improved to 4-1 with another solid effort, destroying Sci-Tech 17-1 at home Wednesday.
The offense and defense were both firing on all cylinders as Southwick freshmen Andrew Mitchell (4 inn., 8 Ks, 1 H) and Pat King (1 inn., 1 Ks, 2 H, 1 R) combined for a three-hitter; Vinnie Fortini finished with four hits and four RBIs, and Jake Goodreau had two hits and two RBIs.
“Collectively we hit the ball very well,” said Southwick coach Tim Karetka.
