WESTFIELD – Westfield Public Schools Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski was excited about a donation of school supplies dropped off by Staples Connect, the working and learning store at 273 E. Main St. in Westfield.

Czaporowski said Staples General Manager Sovany Trzepacz and Sales Manager John Borgatti Apri 15 brought in the donations from employees and customers in pre-packaged bags containing items such as crayons, rulers, folders, pens and pencils. He said he would be inviting the principals to come in and take what they need for their schools. This is the second donation this year from the store to Westfield Public Schools.

Trzepacz said in store they asked customers if they would like to purchase a care package for the schools. “This is all people giving locally — they shop at the local Staples and support the community,” she said.

“This year has been just phenomenal. The last batch of bags had hand sanitizers and pocket tissues. People really wanted to give back and help keep the kids safe,” Trzepacz added.

“We continue to be grateful for the generosity of our community. Staples is a great partner that continues to support Westfield Public Schools and our students. We can’t thank them enough,” Czaporowski said.
