On October 20, 2018, our family suffered the devastating loss of our beloved Nina Kristine Adasiewicz. It is with awe and extreme gratitude that we write the following:
To the amazing Suffield, CT EMT’s and Suffield Police Dept., we thank you.
To the doctors and staff of St. Francis Hospital who worked tirelessly to save our precious Nina, we thank you.
To Mrs. Murphy’s Donuts of Southwick and all of Nina’s co-workers who organized a free donut tribute and fundraiser, and to everyone that contributed to her fundraiser so generously, we thank you.
To Dr. Douglas Hope, D.M.D. of Simsbury, CT and all of the staff where Nina enjoyed working so much, we thank you.
To Father Henry Dorsch of Our Lady of the Lake Church who has been our shepherd and friend for so many years who delivered a homily that touched so many of Nina’s beautiful young friends, we thank you.
To Deacon Dave, Ellen our glorious cantor, Roberta our organist and Joseph Mendez our alter server, we thank you.
To Darren Newcomb, Director of Avalon Life Celebration Center in Southwick- what can we say? You were a rock for our family. For all you did above and beyond, we thank you.
To everyone who waited in the cold in the long line at her wake and hugged us, shed tears with us, shared memories and brought words of comfort, we thank you.
To the teachers at Southwick H.S. who nurtured Nina and organized support and grief counseling for the young people, we thank you. For the colorful mural lovingly painted by her friends that will eternally hang in the halls of the school, we thank you.
To the Town of Southwick who always rallies in support when needed, we thank you.
To Office Bridges and the Southwick Police Dept. who offered comfort and support, we thank you,
To everyone who sent a card, gift, flowers, a delicious meal, offered words of comfort, shared pictures and a funny story on social media, we thank you.
All of us knew that Nina had many friends and touched many lives during her 21 years, but we never imagined just how many people truly loved her and are genuinely heart broken. Be strong for each other, keep her sparkling, sunflower spirit alive…smile, stay positive and shine your light on all you meet.. that is how you will keep her with you every day…
“Despite knowing they won’t be here for long, they choose to live their brightest lives”-Sunflowers
Our deepest love and gratitude to all,
The Adasiewicz, Bruno, Bancroft and Dowers families
