On Saturday, the Jr. Bombers squared off against Pioneer Valley at Fitzpatrick Arena. Pioneer Valley jumped out to an early three goal lead in the first period. After no goals for either team in the second period, Westfield would score their first goal of the game in the third period by Paul Lawry with an assist from Rick Moritko. Pioneer Valley would score their fourth goal of the game in the mid third period. Westfield would cut into the lead once again when Paul Lawry scored his second goal of the game, unassisted. Pioneer Valley held on for the win. After the first period the Westfield defense settled down and played great. Sawyer King was once again great between the pipes making 10 saves in the loss.

On Saturday, the Jr. Bombers met up with third place Ludlow in their first meeting of the season. Paul Lawry scored Westfield’s first goal on a breakaway in the mid first period. Ludlow answered with a goal of their own knotting the game at one after one. Paul Lawry scored his second goal of the game giving the Jr. Bombers a 2-1 lead. Ludlow would once again answer that goal with a goal of their own making the score 2-2 after two. Ludlow scored first in the third period giving them a one goal edge; however Paul Lawry would complete the hat-trick from an assist by Mikey Pelletier ending the game in a 3-3 tie.
