WESTFIELD – Curative will offer Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination clinics to students and the community this Thursday, May 27 at Westfield High School from 9:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., and Westfield Middle School from 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. There is no cost for this service or the vaccine.
“I want to reassure parents, guardians, and students that this is not a requirement. This clinic has been arranged for the convenience of parents and students as well as community members that would like to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine,” said Westfield Public Schools Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski.
Curative is a national biotech company that provides vaccination and testing in Massachusetts and across the nation. Locally, Curative runs the Eastfield Mall vaccination site and several mobile clinics.
The Pfizer vaccine will be administered to all patients — students or otherwise. According to information from Curative, the Pfizer vaccine is approved for emergency use authorization (EUA) by the FDA for individuals 12 and older.
The first dose clinic on May 27 will be hosted in the gym at the high school from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m, and in the gym of the middle school from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Parents/guardians are able to give fully-compliant consent for their minor to be vaccinated through the digital sign-up process. Registration is now open for both sites, so please sign up for the location that best suits you, and reach out with any questions, Czaporowski said.
Register curative.com for both the morning and afternoon session. Registration is simple to complete using a smart device such as a cell phone, tablet, or computer. It will take a maximum of 10 minutes to complete the process. You’ll need to have general information and your health insurance card available to sign up. Health insurance is not required to participate.
This process will only need to be done once. The second dose will be administered at the schools at the same times and same sites on Monday, June 14.
