WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School girls’ soccer team is full speed ahead when it comes to the postseason.

Westfield showed drive and determination In picking up a clutch victory Monday, 1-0 over visiting Agawam, to improve its regular season record to 5-6-3 overall.
Bekka Santiago scored in the eighth minute on a feed from Annie Brozini.
Jules Sharon (9 saves) earned a shutout in net for Westfield.
With three games remaining, Westfield must go at least 1-0-2 to qualify for the Western Massachusetts Division I tournament. The Bombers next play Chicopee Comp Thursday night at Bullens Field at 7.
“The girls know what they need to do – stay focused and get wins,” Westfield coach Keith Saltmarsh said. “We’re hitting our scoring touch finally, and still playing stubborn defense … I’m encouraged.”
