WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School golf team may already be four matches into the 2013 season, but it’s like a new season again.
Westfield received a bit of a restart, improving to .500 by defeating Belchertown 259-270 Monday at Tekoa Country Club. The Bombers are now 2-2.
Connor Sullivan was the medalist for Westfield. Sullivan shot a 6-over 41 on the back nine at Tekoa. Bombers’ Chris Paradis finished with a 42.
“Everyone played – top to bottom – and put up some pretty solid scores,” Westfield coach Chris Strycharz said. “We were a little more consistent than the last two matches.”
Westfield was coming off consecutive losses to West Springfield (268-274) and Ludlow (262-268).
