WESTFIELD – It was a senior night to remember for one local squad.
The Westfield High School girls’ volleyball team rallied from one set down to defeat visiting Southwick-Tolland Regional 20-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-18 Tuesday night.
Southwick managed to take the early lead, and thanks to a couple of Rams – Hannah Sitler (9 kills, 4 digs), and Jess Martin (20 assists, 8 digs) – kept Westfield a bit off-balance.
The Bombers regained momentum in the second set, reversing the score, before taking the third and fourth sets to win the match.
Kelsey Johnstone finished with 19 assists, three aces, and eight digs for Westfield. Bombers’ Carolyn Dufraine recorded 18 digs.
