WESTFIELD- A Westfield woman has been released from custody by the Westfield District Court Thursday afternoon after she had been held on an arson charge since late December.

Jordyn Brown, 28, of 57 Bristol Street, Westfield, was released on $20,000 personal surety following a dangerousness hearing one month after she had been arrested. Brown has been accused of intentionally setting fire to her own home and causing thousands of dollars in damage. Brown had gone missing the day after the fire and was found by detectives a week later in New Salem, Massachusetts, where she was arrested.

Brown’s release comes with a number of conditions on top of the $20,000 personal surety. She must wear a GPS monitoring device and obey a curfew of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., among other conditions. She is also not to leave the state of Massachusetts without permission from her probation officer and check in with the officer by phone once per week. Brown has a pending pre-trial hearing on March 28th.
