BIDDEFORD, Maine – Tayler Travis scored 16 points on 6-for-7 shooting to help lead the Westfield State women’s basketball team to a 72-38 win over the Daniel Webster Eagles in the consolation game of the 2013 Ramada Roundball Invitational hosted by University of New England at the Harold Alfond Forum on Saturday, Nov. 16.
Callie Tambling contributed 12 points off the bench for the Owls (1-1), while all-tournament selection Gabby Felix added nine points and eight rebounds.
For Daniel Webster (0-2), Ashley Giampetruzzi scored a team-high 10 points. Katherine Johnson supported with nine points, six boards and three steals en route to being selected to the all-tournament team.
The University of New England defeated Rhode Island College, 69-57, in the championship game.
