WESTFIELD – Fans attending the Westfield Starfires game on July 7 will not only get to see some of the best collegiate summer ball in the country, they will also get to see some post-game fireworks.
The Westfield Starfires have announced they will host a brief, ground level low altitude fireworks celebration for fans after Sunday’s game.
The fireworks, handled by Atlas PyroVision Entertainment of New Hampshire, and presented by TD Bank, Mestek and Commercial Distributing, will be the only display in Westfield this summer.
The City of Westfield has already held two fireworks displays this season in celebration of its 350th Anniversary, making it a difficult, but necessary decision to pass on a Fourth of July celebration.
The Starfires hope, in a small way, to remedy that situation.
“It is a way for us to let our fans celebrate the Fourth of July,” the Westfield Starfires said in a statement. “We have received generous support from corporate sponsors, fans, and the community at large. This is the first of many “thank you” celebrations we have planned.”
The fireworks display will only be viewable from inside Bullens Field and will take place directly after the conclusion of the game.
The start time for the Sunday, July 7 game has been moved to 6:30pm. The Starfires are also home for a doubleheader on Friday, July 5th at 3pm and 6:30pm as well as Saturday, July 6th at 6:30pm.
Tickets for the Westfield Starfires games are available online through westfieldstarfires.com and at the Bullens Field Box Office or by calling (413) 335-0443. – Courtesy of Westfield Starfires
