HUNTINGTON – Gateway opened with four runs in the second inning, broke open the game with five in the third, and exploded for seven more in the fourth to trounce Sabis 16-2 Monday.
Brooke Fairman won her fifth game on the mound for the Gators (5-2). Fairman scattered four hits and struck out five. She helped herself out at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Jamie Pease (2-3, RBI), Arielle Baillargeon (2-2, RBI), and Becca Wolfe (1-2, RBI) led the offense.
