Westfield Voc-Tech 10, Franklin Tech 7

Westfield Voc-Tech collected 12 hits, several of them with players in scoring position, and the Tigers halted a Franklin comeback.
Nick Clegg pitched the first five innings, and helped himself at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Jake Parsons closed out the final two innings for Voc-Tech.
Tigers’ Chris Boyden had a two-hit day and Nate Boulay belted a two-run triple.
Franklin Tech’s near-rally was helped by a three-walk, two-error fourth inning.
“We definitely made our share of mistakes today,” Westfield Voc-Tech coach Kyle Dulude said. “We didn’t play at the level we want to but understand we are learning as a team and that is what will make us better.”
