Bombers soar to 7-0

BRATTLEBORO, VT – The Westfield High School boys’ lacrosse team’s torrid start to the 2015 regular season continues.
On Wednesday, Westfield jumped out to a 6-0 first-quarter lead, poured on nine more goals in the second quarter for a commanding 15-0 lead en route to its seventh straight victory, 18-5, over Brattleboro Union (VT), and remain unbeaten.
Zach Gentle led the Westfield attack with seven goals and two assists. Matt Chlastawa (2 goals, 6 assists), Anthony Sullivan (2 goals, 2 assists), Balch (2 goals, 1 assist), Sam Scarfo (2 assists), Max Maggipinto (1 goal, 1 assist), Bourgoin (1 G), Eric Laplante (1 G), Chris Ward (1 G), Muhammed Ulmer (1 G), and Craig Ward (1 A) all contributed offensively.
Ward won an astounding 13-of-14 faceoffs.
Mitchell Weiss, Garrett Matthews, Kane Miller, Joe Graydon, and Kevin Chambers teamed together for a solid defensive effort.
