Bombers, Saints prevail

WESTFIELD – Westfield jumped out to a quick lead Wednesday against Amherst and never looked back. The Bombers led 8-0 after the first quarter and 14-0 at the half en route to a 16-4 runaway victory, and stay unbeaten at 4-0.
Matt Chlastawa led the Westfield scoring attack with five goals and two assists. Bombers’ Sam Scarfo had one goal and three assists, Zach Gentle netted a hat trick (3 goals), Mason Balch collected one goal and two assists, and Anthony Sullivan scored twice. Craig Ward, Bourgoin, Kohl Lunardini (assist), and Landon Reyes tallied one goal apiece. Max Maggipinto and Mike Visconti each had one assist.
Jake Cupak (2 saves) and Matt Reynolds (2 saves) split time in net for Westfield. They were helped out by fellow defensemen Mitchell Weiss, Garrett Matthews, Kane Miller, and Joe Graydon.

St. Mary 12, Holyoke Catholic 5

Aisling Butler (5 goals, 3 assists), Erin Dow (2 goals, 3 assists), Lauren Chapdelaine (3 goals, 1 assist), and Jillian Watson (2 goals, 1 assist) spearheaded the St. Mary’s attack. Saints’ Francesca DePergola also had an assist.
St. Mary goalie Carly Woodruff finished with eight saves.
