WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School boys’ volleyball team avoided the dreaded “trap” game, dispatching host West Springfield in four sets Tuesday, 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 25-21.
Westfield (11-3) is in the midst of a three-day, three-game stretch with key games against Western Massachusetts powers’ Ludlow (12-2) and Agawam (14-0). The Bombers knocked off the Lions on Monday, and play at the unbeaten Brownies Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.
On Tuesday, Westfield received key contributions from Ivan Zuev (22 digs), Ian Wolski (16 kills), and Manny Golov (8 kills, 6 blocks).
