First of all, I’d like to congratulate all of the participants of our 2014 “Beat ‘The Putz’” pro football contest. Thank you for once again making it a sweeping success.
I finished the final week of the season with a 10-6 mark. My chief statistician Melissa was quick to point out that my Week 17 record was “respectable.” She also went on to describe the Patriots’ latest outing as “putrid.” No need to worry, Melissa. We need a healthy Gronk and Brady this postseason for a super run. There was good reason to rest the starters, and lay an egg.
Look for a “Super” run from the Patriots.
A total of 17 people went 13-3 in the final week of the regular season, with George Cauley, of Westfield coming out on top with 33 tiebreaker points.
Some 15 people went 12-4 and 17 others finished 11-5. Congratulations. You are all eligible for our grand prize drawing.
Over the course of the next several days, records and grand prize eligible sheets will be finalized with the grand prize television from Manny’s Television expected to be awarded early next week.
Look for our announcement next week with my postseason picks and more.
