No, not that fore – this one (F-O-U-R).
The Westfield Voc-Tech girls’ soccer team recorded four – count that F-O-U-R – goals, and the Tigers shut out Putnam 4-0 Thursday at Jachym Field.
Voc-Tech built a 2-0 first half lead with goals from Steffany Costa (Jackie Gaulin assist) and Ashley Lees (Aedan Orr). Julia Levkha and Lees scored in the second half. Elena Levkha and Julia Levkha earned assists on the latter scoring plays.
Megan Illnicky (first half) and Steffany Costa (second half) combined for a shutout in net. Both Voke goalies had two saves.
Julia Levkha continued to shine defensively, and Elena Levkha dominated the midfield again. Marina Levkha played well for the Tigers as well.
